Miscellany

Might it be the case that the object of terrorism is a long war, intended to wear down the victim and change the status quo slowly? Of course, the recent financial mess may just be but a blip if we consider long-term economic trends. What are the immediate effects of a downturn? Perhaps there'll be more students entering graduate school.

I do not think more college students will go to grad school because where will the funds be coming from? Most Americans are losing a good sum of money from the stocket market. My family is one of those American families that were living very comfortably and now huge sums of money is being extracted from us. Also, the nations grants and loaning services are being more frugal than ever. They're offering less and less money to students who need and deserve to continue there education but can not based upon our economy today. To make a long story short I just believe that more students will try to find employment right after graduating from college reguardless of the pay because a job, unlike grad school you recieve a check instead of writing one to a university.
