Welcome to Doug Gibler's International Politics Blog! This blog serves to familiarize students with both contemporary and historical events mentioned in class. I'll do my best to keep the posts current with class, but please feel free to let me know if you think the blog is missing coverage of something. Enjoy!

I believe america should be more concerned with Mumbai attacks than those in Nigeria.
1. We know why the Nigeria attacks occured and who perpatrated them.
2. India and Pakistan are both nuclear powers.
3. We rely on Pakistan for its support in the Middle East. If riots breakout or anything else that that would causes Pakistan to shore up its border with India it will make it harder for us to reduce troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
4. Westerners were targeted. If there is a group of militants that wish to target Americans abroad then I believe it is more important to Americans.
