So, the end of the world could be tomorrow, if things at CERN don't go well. If the world doesn't in, you may want to check out this description of a shipping container that's traversing the globe. It's geeky, of course, but very cool, too.
Last, be sure not to listen to those naysayers predicting dire consequences if you vote (or even register to vote).
UPDATE (9/10): Apparently, the world did NOT end today. Here is the story, with some cool maps and graphics.

I read the article on voting...very interesting...
I think the "scare" wasn't meant in the way it came across, but it is something for every college student to think about.
I have a permanent address back home that I still use, but while I'm in Tuscaloosa I'm in the process of getting my mail transfered from my P.O. box to my apartment.
No one cross checks your address on your voting form with insurance records or IRS tax filings by your parents. Each person over the age of 18 has one vote...whether or not they are still a dependent. If you stay with your parents after you graduate in grad school...they can claim you until you're 25 (for insurance purposes mostly I believe)...
This just shows how our voting has evolved over the past 230 years. Starting from the restricted landowning white males over the age of 21(I may be wrong on that age)...and gradually including everyone American citizen, male and female, regardless of status. (Felonies crimes of moral turpitude are the only way to lose your voting rights...in Alabama).
Anyone, anywhere has the right to change their voting place. But also, if you don't want to change your voting place...their always the God-given gift of absentee ballotting...
