These excerpts from the book do not even include chapter one, I think the high degree of fragmentation in this preview might be one reason why nobody in class read it.
Mitch, if you scroll down the link, the second page is where chapter 1 starts. I paged through the link and found every page of chapter 1, so I'm not sure why you had troubles. Also, take a look at Gorgas library's offerings since they have several copies.
